GOURMET CANDY COMPANY PRESS RELEASE

The Gourmet Candy Company are pleased to announce the purchase of Lomer Fine Foods.

As no doubt you will recall, in July 2007 Gloucestershire and surrounding areas experienced severe weather conditions which resulted in major flooding. The Lomer Fine Foods factory and offices were flooded which had a catastrophic effect on their 2007 planned business.

The Gourmet Candy Company and the Senior Management of Lomer Fine Foods made contact to examine whether there were opportunities to develop a plan to resolve short-term issues and, more importantly, to progress potential longer-term synergies.

As a result of these discussions, we are delighted to confirm that The Gourmet Candy Company have just completed the purchase of Lomer Fine Foods including the Lomer and Delissential Brands.

We are also delighted that Stewart Rose previously Managing Director of Lomer Fine Foods will with immediate effect join our Management Team.

Stewart will continue to develop the Lomer and Delissential Brands in line with the successful strategic direction which previously existed.

Lomer products range from Mulled Wine Mixes, Tea and Coffee Gift Sets, Dried Fruits and Nuts, Glace Fruits and Marron Glace.

Delissential offers a range of Essential Ingredients, Oils and Vinegars, Herbs and Spices that are only available in Speciality and Gourmet Food shops.

Stewart Rose will to continue to develop corporate sales while the current Gourmet Candy Company sales team will offer the complete range with immediate effect.

We are further pleased to confirm that Jaime Waring previously with Lomer joins our sales team as Area Sales Manager for the Midlands and Wales.

The Gourmet Candy Company now offers 13 exclusive brands including Jessica Walker and St Valentines Liquorice.
